Cajun Salmon with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Pepper Gravy & Shrimp-Broccoli Sauté 🐟🥔🦐🌶️

👩‍🍳 Directions

1️⃣ Make the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:

  1. Place potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil.
  2. Cook until fork-tender, about 12–15 minutes. Drain well.
  3. In the pot, mash potatoes with butter, milk, and minced garlic.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Adjust milk for creaminess if needed.

2️⃣ Cook the Cajun Salmon:

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry. Rub with olive oil and Cajun seasoning. Add a pinch of salt if needed.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Sear salmon for 4–5 minutes per side until blackened and cooked through.

3️⃣ Prepare the Pepper Gravy:

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
  3. Slowly pour in milk while whisking constantly until smooth and thickened.
  4. Stir in red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat.

4️⃣ Make the Shrimp-Broccoli Sauté:

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add broccoli florets and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 more minutes until shrimp turn pink and broccoli is tender-crisp.
