Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
  • ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter or olive oil for cooking (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the chicken. If you don’t have cooked chicken on hand, you can quickly cook chicken breasts or thighs, then shred or dice the meat. For a faster option, rotisserie chicken works perfectly. Just make sure it’s cooled and shredded into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken with the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheeses are fully mixed into the chicken. If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder to the mixture. You can also season with salt and pepper to taste. The cream cheese adds a rich, creamy texture, and the cheddar gives the filling a gooey, melty consistency once cooked.
  3. Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface and evenly divide the chicken mixture among the tortillas. Spread the filling in the center of each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges to make folding easier.
  4. Fold in the sides of each tortilla and then roll them up tightly, ensuring the filling stays inside. The wraps should be compact and easy to hold. If you want to make them more secure, you can lightly toast the wraps at the end to crisp up the outside.
