Chocolate Cake Roll

2️⃣ Prepare the Filling

  1. In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  2. Carefully unroll the cooled cake. Spread the whipped cream evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Roll the cake back up tightly (without the towel) and place it seam-side down on a serving platter.

3️⃣ Make the Chocolate Ganache Topping

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer (do not boil).
  2. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips in a bowl and let sit for 1 minute.
  3. Whisk until smooth and glossy. Allow to cool slightly until it thickens but is still pourable.
  4. Pour the ganache evenly over the rolled cake, letting it drip beautifully down the sides.
