Chocolate Mocha Layer Cake ☕🍫 – Rich, Creamy & Unforgettable

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the Cake Layers:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch (20 cm) cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Slowly pour in the hot coffee and mix until the batter is smooth and runny.
  6. Divide evenly between pans and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely, then slice each cake horizontally to create 4 layers total.

2. Prepare the Mocha Cream:

  1. In a large bowl, whip cold cream until slightly thickened.
  2. Add mascarpone and beat until fluffy and thick.
  3. Add powdered sugar, dissolved coffee, and vanilla. Whip until mousse-like consistency forms. Chill until ready to use.
