👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Cake:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F), or 160°C (320°F) with a fan. Grease and flour a round cake pan (8 or 9-inch).
- In a double boiler or heatproof bowl over simmering water, melt the butter and chocolate. Stir until smooth, then set aside to cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Gently stir the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until combined.
- Gradually fold in the sifted flour until no streaks remain—don’t overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan, then remove and slice horizontally into two even layers.
