Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 8–12 slices of soft white bread (crusts removed)
  • 4 tbsp softened butter
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Start by removing the crusts from the bread slices. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread gently, which will make it easier to roll up and help the filling stay inside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix until the ingredients are fully incorporated, creating a smooth cinnamon-sugar spread.
  3. Spread a generous layer of the cinnamon-sugar mixture onto each slice of flattened bread. Be sure to spread it evenly across the surface to ensure each roll-up is packed with flavor.
  4. Carefully roll up each slice of bread, starting from one end and rolling tightly until you have a little cinnamon roll. Repeat this process with all the bread slices.
  5. In a large skillet, heat a small amount of butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and sizzling, place the cinnamon roll-ups seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Be sure to turn the roll-ups gently so they cook evenly on all sides and develop a crispy, golden exterior.
