Cinnamon Roll Poke Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Bake the Cake

  1. Preheat oven according to the cake mix package directions.
  2. Prepare and bake the yellow cake mix in a greased 9×13-inch pan as directed on the box.
  3. Once baked, let the cake cool for about 15 minutes.

2️⃣ Poke & Soak

  1. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly across the entire cake (about 1 inch apart).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, whole milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture slowly and evenly over the cake, letting it seep into the holes.

3️⃣ Make the Frosting

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add powdered sugar gradually, then mix in vanilla and milk until a smooth, spreadable frosting forms.
  3. Spread frosting evenly over the fully cooled cake.
