1️⃣ Bake the Cake
- Preheat oven according to the cake mix package directions.
- Prepare and bake the yellow cake mix in a greased 9×13-inch pan as directed on the box.
- Once baked, let the cake cool for about 15 minutes.
2️⃣ Poke & Soak
- Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly across the entire cake (about 1 inch apart).
- In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, whole milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour the mixture slowly and evenly over the cake, letting it seep into the holes.
3️⃣ Make the Frosting
- In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
- Add powdered sugar gradually, then mix in vanilla and milk until a smooth, spreadable frosting forms.
- Spread frosting evenly over the fully cooled cake.
4️⃣ Finish & Serve
