Classic Chicken Parmesan

🥄 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off excess, then dip in the egg, and finally press into the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture until well coated. Set aside.

2️⃣ Fry the Chicken:

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and fry for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Transfer the cooked chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

3️⃣ Assemble the Dish:

  1. Spread ½ cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Arrange the fried chicken breasts on top of the sauce.
  3. Spoon the remaining marinara sauce evenly over each piece of chicken.
  4. Top each with shredded mozzarella and a sprinkle of the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  5. Sprinkle dried oregano over the top for added flavor.

4️⃣ Bake:
