1️⃣ Cream the Base:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, and margarine.
- Using a whisk or electric mixer, beat until a light and creamy mixture forms — this helps create a fluffy texture.
2️⃣ Add Flour and Milk:
- Alternate adding the flour and milk in batches, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.
- If the batter curdles (which may happen if margarine is too cold or overmixed), add 2 extra tablespoons of flour to bring it back to a smooth consistency.
3️⃣ Incorporate Baking Powder:
- Add the baking powder last and gently stir it into the batter with a spatula or spoon — don’t overmix.
4️⃣ Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease and flour a medium-sized cake pan (round or rectangular).
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
