Classic Pepperoni Pizza (Crispy Crust & Melty Cheese)

Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. In a small bowl, mix the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2. Preheat & Prep

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside to heat, if using.
  2. Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 12-inch circle.
  3. Transfer to a sheet of parchment paper for easy handling.

3. Assemble the Pizza

  1. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a slight border.
  2. Sprinkle with mozzarella, then arrange pepperoni slices across the top.
  3. Sprinkle with oregano or Italian seasoning if desired.
