Step 1: Prepare the Peppers
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes. Lightly oil a baking dish and arrange peppers upright.
Step 2: Cook the Filling
- In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in cooked rice, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
