: Cookies and Cream Cake

🍰 Instructions

1. Cake Layers

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease three 8-inch (20 cm) pans and line with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter for 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar + vegetable oil and beat for 2 minutes until fluffy.
  4. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix again.
  5. Alternate adding the milk and dry mixture (dry β†’ milk β†’ dry β†’ milk β†’ dry).
  6. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  7. Fold half of the egg whites into the batter, then fold in the remaining egg whites along with the chopped Oreos.
  8. Divide batter evenly among the 3 pans.
  9. Bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then cool completely on wire racks.
