Cookies and Cream Oreo Cake 🎂🍫🍪

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Cake Layers

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, oil, vanilla, and sugar until smooth and combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  5. Slowly stir in the hot water or coffee — the batter will be thin. This is normal and helps the cake stay moist.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the pans and bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely before frosting.
