👨🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rigatoni and cook until al dente according to package directions.
- Drain and set aside. Reserve ½ cup pasta water for later use (optional).
2️⃣ Brown the Meat:
- In a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven, cook ground beef and Italian sausage over medium-high heat.
- Break up the meat with a spatula and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7–10 minutes.
- Drain excess fat if needed, then return to heat.
3️⃣ Add Seasoning & Liquids:
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in milk, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Let the sauce simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened and creamy.
4️⃣ Add Cheese & Pasta:
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and half of the mozzarella. Mix until fully melted and incorporated.
- Add the cooked rigatoni and toss to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, stir in a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen.
