Instructions
1. Prepare the Cake Base
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Beat according to package instructions until smooth and fluffy.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for the time directed on the cake mix box (usually around 25–30 minutes) or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool slightly for 5–10 minutes.
2. Poke & Fill
- While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a skewer to poke holes all over the surface of the cake. Make sure to reach about halfway down.
- Pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk slowly over the surface of the cake, letting it soak into the holes. Allow it to absorb fully.
- While the cake continues to cool, scatter the chopped Hershey chocolate bars evenly over the top. The warmth will melt them slightly into the cake.
3. Prepare the Chocolate Cream Topping
