Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning (mild, medium, or hot, depending on your preference)
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies (drained)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Continue cooking until the beef is browned and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes. Once cooked, drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked beef and stir to evenly coat. Follow the seasoning packet’s instructions for adding water (usually about 2/3 cup), and stir to combine. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the flavors meld together.
- Once the taco meat is ready, stir in the drained can of Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies. The tomatoes and chilies will add a juicy texture and a touch of heat to the beef mixture. Let everything simmer together for another 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend and the mixture to heat through.
