Easy Tomato Salad

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the tomatoes. Slice or chop the 4 large ripe tomatoes into bite-sized pieces. If you’re using Roma or beefsteak tomatoes, slicing them into wedges or chunks works best. For a more elegant presentation, you can slice the tomatoes into rounds.
  2. Next, cut 1 cup of cherry tomatoes in half. Cherry tomatoes add a burst of sweetness and color to the salad, creating a beautiful contrast with the larger tomato pieces.
  3. Thinly slice 1/4 cup of red onion. Red onions add a mild, slightly sweet flavor to the salad, and their crisp texture complements the juiciness of the tomatoes. If you prefer a milder flavor, you can soak the sliced onion in a bowl of cold water for 10 minutes to reduce its sharpness.
