Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Batter
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease or line a small baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and lump-free. The bananas act as a natural sweetener, binding the ingredients and adding moisture.
- Add the eggs, ground oats, and unsweetened cocoa powder to the mashed bananas. Stir or whisk until the ingredients are fully combined and the mixture forms a smooth, thick batter.
- If desired, fold in optional ingredients like peanut butter or yogurt to adjust texture and richness.
2️⃣ Bake the Cake
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan, smoothing the surface with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool completely before removing it from the pan to prevent breaking.
Serving & Storage
- Slice the cooled cake into portions — an 80 to 100 gram serving is perfect for a light dessert or snack.
- Serve with fresh fruit, a spoonful of natural yogurt, or a drizzle of melted dark chocolate for extra indulgence.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. The texture becomes even richer the next day.
