- In a large stockpot, pour in 4 cups of water. Squeeze in the juice from the lemon wedges and then drop the wedges into the water for extra flavor.
- Add 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning to the pot. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, carefully add the crab legs. If they’re frozen, no need to thaw—just add a few extra minutes to the cook time.
- Cover and boil for 5–6 minutes, until the shells are heated through and fragrant. You’ll notice a brightening in color and a seafood aroma.
- Remove the crab legs from the pot and set aside on a platter while you prepare the sauce.
2️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once fully melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned—watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Stir in the lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using) to give the sauce a savory, zesty flavor with a hint of heat.
- Let the mixture simmer gently for 2–3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the garlic to soften fully.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
