Garlic Butter Crab Legs

Instructions

    1. Boil the Crab Legs: Pour 4 cups of water into a large pot and add the lemon wedges along with the Old Bay seasoning. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, allowing the citrus and spices to infuse the water. Add the crab legs carefully, ensuring they are submerged as much as possible. Boil for 5–6 minutes, just until the shells are heated through and the meat inside becomes tender and steaming hot. Remove the crab legs with tongs and set aside to drain while preparing the garlic butter.
    2. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter slowly to prevent scorching. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring frequently as it softens and releases its aroma. Stir in the fresh lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and optional red pepper flakes. Let the sauce simmer gently for 2–3 minutes so the flavors blend and the garlic infuses deeply into the butter. Add the chopped parsley last to maintain its color and freshness.
