Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Vegetables

Instructions

  1. Sauté Garlic in Butter:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add 2 tablespoons of butter and allow it to melt. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30–60 seconds, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned. Garlic burns quickly, so watch closely to avoid bitterness.
  2. Cook the Steak Bites:
Add the steak cubes to the pan. Season with salt and black pepper. Sear the meat for 2–3 minutes per side or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Avoid overcrowding the pan — cook in batches if necessary to get a good sear. Remove the steak and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add the sliced carrots, broccoli florets, and corn slices. Stir-fry over medium heat for about 3–5 minutes, until the vegetables begin to soften slightly but still retain some crunch. You may cover the pan briefly to steam the harder vegetables if desired.
  4. Deglaze and Finish the Sauce:
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the pan. Once melted, pour in the soy sauce and toss in the cherry tomatoes. Stir to coat everything in the sauce, allowing the tomatoes to blister and release some of their juices — this should take about 2 minutes.
  5. Combine and Serve:
Return the steak bites to the skillet. Gently mix everything together and cook for another 1–2 minutes to warm through and marry the flavors. If using, add a sprig of fresh rosemary for aroma.
