Garlic Butter Steak Lightning Noodles

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Sear the Steak

  1. Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon butter and let it melt until sizzling.
  3. Add the steak and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness.
  4. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.

3️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, just until fragrant (do not brown).
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the grated Parmesan and whisk until melted into a creamy sauce.
  5. Season with black pepper and a pinch of salt. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
