👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Bread

  1. If your bread is fresh, cube it and spread it on a baking sheet. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15–20 minutes to dry it out slightly, stirring halfway through. Let cool.
  2. Add bread cubes to a large mixing bowl.

2️⃣ Sauté the Vegetables

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and celery. Sauté for 7–8 minutes, or until soft and fragrant.
  3. Add garlic (if using) and cook 1 more minute.
  4. Stir in sage, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Cook 30 seconds more, then remove from heat.
  5. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes in the bowl.
