Half Bread, Half Cake Dessert Loaf

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Batter:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then whisk in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Do not overmix — the batter should be slightly lumpy but fully moistened.

2️⃣ Bake:

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  2. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. The top should be lightly golden and slightly springy.
  3. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
