Italian Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cabbage Leaves

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Core the cabbage and carefully peel off about 12 whole leaves.
  3. Blanch the leaves for 2–3 minutes until pliable, then transfer them to an ice bath to cool.
  4. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.

Step 2: Make the Filling

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, cooked rice, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, egg, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 3: Assemble the Rolls

  1. Lay a cabbage leaf on a flat surface and place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center.
  2. Fold in the sides, then roll up tightly like a burrito. Repeat with remaining leaves and filling.
