Instructions
1. Form the Patties
- Divide ground beef into equal portions and form into round patties slightly wider than your buns.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper just before cooking.
2. Sear the Burgers
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add butter or oil.
- Sear the patties for 3β4 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
3. Add the Cheese
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice (or two!) of cheese on each patty. Cover loosely with a lid or foil to help it melt completely.
4. Toast the Buns
