Loaded Surf and Turf Fries

Instructions

    1. Cook the Fries: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet, allowing space between them to promote even browning. Season generously with salt and pepper. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the fries are crisp, golden, and lightly blistered around the edges. Let them rest briefly so they stay crisp when topped.
    2. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until it begins to shimmer. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula, cooking until fully browned with no pink remaining. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, stirring so the spices coat the meat evenly. Allow the beef to cook for an extra minute to let excess moisture evaporate, which helps keep the fries from getting soggy later. Set aside.
    3. Cook the Shrimp: In a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 20–30 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Add the shrimp in an even layer and cook for 3–4 minutes total, flipping once, until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper, and add a small squeeze of lemon juice if you want a brighter finish. Remove immediately to prevent overcooking.
