Lobster-Topped Cheddar Smash Burger

🍽️ How to Make It

1️⃣ Smash the Patty:

  1. Divide the ground beef into a loose 4–5 oz ball. Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over high heat until hot.
  2. Place the beef ball in the skillet and immediately press it down with a spatula or burger press to flatten. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy and browned. Add cheddar cheese on top, cover briefly until melted. Remove from heat and set aside.

2️⃣ Warm the Lobster:

  1. In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped cooked lobster and toss gently to coat.
  2. Heat for 1–2 minutes just until warmed through and buttery — do not overcook. Set aside.

3️⃣ Toast the Bun:

  1. In the same pan or on a skillet, toast the brioche bun halves cut-side down until golden and lightly crisp. This adds texture and prevents sogginess from the sauce.
