1️⃣ Prepare the Patties:
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions.
- Shape each portion into a flat patty, about the same diameter as your onion rings.
- Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
2️⃣ Cook the Patties:
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until well-browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- In the final minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheese. Cover the pan briefly to help the cheese melt. 🧀
3️⃣ Prepare the Onion Wraps:
- While the patties cook, separate the onions into thick rings (you’ll need 4 large rings to use as « buns »).
- Brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
- Heat a separate skillet or grill and sear the onion rings for 2–3 minutes per side, until lightly charred and just tender. 🧅
