Low-Carb Onion-Wrapped Cheeseburgers – Juicy, Cheesy & Bun-Free

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Patties:

  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions.
  2. Shape each portion into a flat patty, about the same diameter as your onion rings.
  3. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

2️⃣ Cook the Patties:

  1. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until well-browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  3. In the final minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheese. Cover the pan briefly to help the cheese melt. 🧀

3️⃣ Prepare the Onion Wraps:

  1. While the patties cook, separate the onions into thick rings (you’ll need 4 large rings to use as « buns »).
  2. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
  3. Heat a separate skillet or grill and sear the onion rings for 2–3 minutes per side, until lightly charred and just tender. 🧅
