Step 1: Prep the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Step 2: Mix the Batter
- In a large mixing bowl, combine both packages of blueberry muffin mix with the buttermilk.
- Stir until smooth and no dry mix remains. Do not overmix.
Step 3: Add the Butter Base
- Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Immediately pour the biscuit batter over the melted butter. Do not stir the butter into the batter — let it naturally surround the mixture.
- Use a spatula to gently smooth out the top of the batter and shape it evenly into the pan.
- Use a knife or spatula to score the batter into 9 even squares. This will help portion the biscuits after baking.
