Parmesan Garlic Pork Chops with Cheesy Potato Bake Recipe

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
    1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.
  2. Season the Pork Chops
    1. Season the 4 pork chops generously with minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Be sure to coat the chops evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  3. Brown the Pork Chops
    1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned pork chops to the skillet.
    2. Cook the pork chops for about 4 minutes per side until they are nicely browned. This will help lock in the flavors and give the chops a good sear. Once browned, remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.
  4. Prepare the Potatoes
    1. In a baking dish, arrange 4 cups of thinly sliced potatoes in an even layer. The thin slices will cook through nicely, creating a tender base for the pork chops.
  5. Make the Cheesy Cream Sauce
    1. In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of heavy cream with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is mostly melted into the cream.
    2. Pour the cheesy cream mixture evenly over the sliced potatoes, ensuring all the potatoes are covered. The cream will create a rich, flavorful base as the dish bakes.
  6. Assemble and Bake
    1. Place the browned pork chops on top of the potatoes, making sure they sit nicely in the baking dish.
    2. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Serve and Enjoy
    1. Once the dish is baked and the pork chops are fully cooked, remove it from the oven. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
    2. Serve the Parmesan garlic pork chops on top of the cheesy potatoes and enjoy this comforting, flavorful meal!
