1️⃣ Layer the Pumpkin Mixture
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In the baking dish, spread the pumpkin puree evenly across the bottom.
- Sprinkle brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger (if using), salt, and vanilla extract evenly over the pumpkin. Use a spatula or spoon to gently swirl or mix together in the pan.
2️⃣ Add the Cake & Oat Layers
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin layer — do not mix it in.
- Top with a layer of old-fashioned oats and chopped nuts (if using).
- Slowly drizzle the melted butter evenly over the entire surface, trying to moisten as much of the dry mix as possible.
