1️⃣ Prepare the Oven and Pan:
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
2️⃣ Make the Brownie Batter:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until glossy and slightly thickened.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt just until no dry streaks remain. Do not overmix.
- Set aside while preparing the swirl mixture.
3️⃣ Prepare the Pumpkin Cheesecake Swirl:
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and lump-free.
- Add pumpkin purée, egg yolk, sugar, and spices. Mix until well-blended and creamy.
