2️⃣ Poke the Holes
- Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes about 1.5 cm apart in the cooled cake.Push nearly to the bottom so the jelly reaches through the full height of the cake.
- Prepare the red jelly:
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
Mix until the powder is fully dissolved and the liquid is smooth.
- Prepare the blue jelly the same way.Keep both mixtures warm enough to pour easily but not hot.
- Using a spoon or small pitcher, pour the jelly into the holes in rows.You can alternate red and blue for a striped look or pour randomly for a marbled effect.
3️⃣ Cooling
- Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.This allows the jelly to firm up and settle fully into the poke holes.
