: Shrimp Pineapple Skewers with a Spicy Honey Glaze

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Prep the shrimp: Peel and devein the shrimp if you haven’t already. Pat them dry with a paper towel to ensure the glaze sticks well.
  2. Prep the pineapple: Cut the pineapple into bite-sized chunks, making sure they are large enough to thread onto the skewers without falling apart.
  3. Prepare the skewers: If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning during cooking. If using metal skewers, no soaking is required.

2. Make the Spicy Honey Glaze

  1. Combine the glaze ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of chili flakes (or hot sauce for a more liquid option), and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Taste and adjust the sweetness or heat according to your preference. For extra heat, add more chili flakes or hot sauce.
  2. Set aside: Set the glaze aside while you assemble the skewers.
