Step 1: Mix the Patties
- In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon (with or without bones/skin based on preference), diced onion, and eggs.
- Add breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, parsley (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Mix until fully combined — the mixture should hold together but not be too dry. Add more breadcrumbs if needed.
Step 2: Shape the Patties
- Form the mixture into 6–8 equal-sized patties (about ½-inch thick).
- Place formed patties on a plate or tray. Optional: chill for 15–20 minutes to help them firm up before frying.
