Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Steaks
- Pat steaks dry with paper towels to ensure a perfect sear.
- Season generously on both sides with salt and black pepper.
2️⃣ Cook the Steaks
- Heat a heavy skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add a small amount of butter or oil if needed.
- Sear the steaks for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting based on thickness and desired doneness.
- Transfer steaks to a plate, cover loosely with foil, and let rest while you make the sauce.
3️⃣ Make the Haunted Bourbon Garlic Cream Sauce
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant and lightly golden (do not let it burn).
- Carefully pour in the bourbon. Stir and scrape the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits for extra flavor.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly and cook off the alcohol.
- Stir in the heavy cream, whisking to combine. Let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens to a velvety consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper if needed.
4️⃣ Combine & Serve
- Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the creamy bourbon sauce over the top to coat them.
- Garnish with fresh rosemary or chopped parsley for a touch of freshness.
- Serve immediately with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a glass of your favorite bourbon. 🥃
