1️⃣ Prepare the Mushrooms & Onions:
- In a medium skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add sliced mushrooms and onions, and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and caramelized.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside. 🍄🧅
2️⃣ Form the Burger Patties:
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions.
- Form into patties slightly larger than the buns, about ¾ inch thick. Avoid overhandling to keep them tender.
- Season both sides with salt and freshly cracked black pepper. 🥩
3️⃣ Cook the Burgers:
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet for 30 seconds to melt. 🔥🧀
