- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Steak: Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat. Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and black pepper. Once the skillet is hot, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Place the steaks in the pan and sear them for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer for your preferred level of doneness. For extra flavor, add 1 tablespoon of butter, the smashed garlic cloves, and the rosemary (or thyme) to the pan during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Baste the steak with the melted butter for added richness. Once done, remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5-7 minutes before serving.
- Prepare the Garlic Shrimp: While the steaks are resting, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for about 1 minute, or until the garlic becomes fragrant. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss everything together to coat the shrimp in the buttery, garlicky sauce.
- Assemble the Combo: Place each cooked steak on a plate and top with a generous portion of garlic shrimp. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter sauce from the pan over the shrimp and steak for added flavor. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.
- Serve: Serve the Ultimate Steak & Garlic Shrimp Combo immediately while everything is still hot. Pair with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete, indulgent meal.
